Job Summary/Main Purpose
The Sales Manager will plans, directs, or coordinates the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. He/she will coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals and establish training programs for sales representatives. He/she must analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manages to obtain profitable results by developing the sales team, giving them motivation, counseling, skills development and product knowledge development.
- Develops business plans covering sales, revenue, and expense controls
- Responsible for meeting the sales targets, and promoting the organization's presence.
- Administers and maintains the policies and procedures of Julphar Code of Conduct to ensure that all medical representative activities are aligned with it
- Spearheads the planning, recruitment, direction, organization and control of sales managers and sales representative to accomplish specific sales objectives
- Monitors the performance of sales team by creating a system of reports and communications involving reports, meetings, newsletters and electronic bulletins
- Observes regularly the performance of medical representatives in the field and conduct double visits to ensure delivery of marketing message and implementation of marketing tactics
- Sets high standards of indoor and outdoor training for medical representatives and make sure that they are equipped with sufficient medical and technical knowledge to present information on the company's products in an accurate and balanced manner.
- Participates in developing the annual marketing plan; realistic forecasts for each product and territory, realistic costs of operating the sales force, and promotion of sales programs.
- Develops plans and implement specific appraisal system describing the responsibilities and performance standards for each member of the sales team.
- Responsible for setting individual sales territory targets, commission plans and targets.
- Manages the sales administration function, performance reports of the operations, streamlining processes and systems.
- Responsible for building rapport with key customers and maintain a sustainable business partnership with key decision makers in main accounts to ensure maximum business growth in his territory
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes)
- Bachelor's degree of Pharmacy, Medicine or related science
- Postgraduate qualification, MBA or related studies is of added value
- Excellent experience in Pharmaceutical filed of minimum of 8 years' experience with at least 2 years in managerial position
- English and Arabic Language is a must
