Role Description The Year 3 Science & Maths Teacher role is a full-time on-site position based in Algiers. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons in Mathematics and Science aligned with the relevant Algerian and British curricula for Year 3 learners. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing learner progress, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records of achievement. The teacher will create a safe and inclusive classroom environment, differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs, and collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support whole-school initiatives. Additional duties may include communicating with parents and guardians, participating in staff meetings, contributing to co-curricular activities, and supporting ongoing curriculum development. Qualifications
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and Mathematics Education appropriate for primary learners.
• Recognized teaching qualification and experience as a Qualified Teacher in primary or lower secondary education.
• Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, ideally within Algerian and/or British curriculum frameworks.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging, learner-centered Science and Maths lessons, using a range of teaching strategies and resources.
• Effective classroom management skills and commitment to creating an inclusive, positive, and safe learning environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and build constructive relationships with families.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in French or Arabic is an advantage.
• Previous experience teaching in an international or bilingual school setting is beneficial.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and openness to feedback and reflective practice.
