About the role

We are seeking a Mobile Developer with strong expertise in React Native to build and maintain a high performance, map centric mobile application. You will work heavily with Mapbox, geolocation services, and real time data to deliver smooth, reliable experiences on both iOS and Android. The role requires a solid understanding of mobile performance, native integrations, and clean architectural boundaries between shared logic and platform specific implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cross platform mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
  • Integrate and customize Mapbox maps including markers, layers, routes, clustering, and camera controls.
  • Implement real time location tracking and map updates using WebSockets or similar technologies.
  • Design and apply clean abstractions to share map related logic across platforms.
  • Integrate push notification systems for alerts, updates, and real-time events.
  • Work with native modules when required to access platform specific capabilities.
  • Collaborate with backend and product teams to deliver end to end mobile features.
  • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and battery usage.
  • Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and code reviews.

Requirement

  • 2+ years of professional experience with React Native.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with Mapbox or other mobile map SDKs.
  • Solid understanding of mobile application performance and optimization.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and real time data sources.
  • Familiarity with mobile navigation, permissions, and geolocation services.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well structured code.

Nice to have

  • Experience writing or maintaining native code in Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java.
  • Knowledge of offline maps, tile caching, or geojson-based data handling.
  • Experience with background location tracking and geofencing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
  • Previous work on map-heavy or location-based products.
