Sites System Administrator

Salvo Grima Group is a dynamic group of companies specialising in international distribution, wholesale, ship supply and retail in Europe and Africa. It was first established in 1860 and now employs over 530 people with operations in eight countries. We supply and operate several Travel Retail Duty-Free outlets at airports and cruise ports across the Mediterranean region, including airports in Algiers and Oran. Our product range includes skincare, tobaccos, liquors, and more. We are now looking for a full-time Sites System Administrator to join our Technology team based in Algiers, Algeria. Reporting to the Infrstructure Team Lead, the ideal candidate is a team player who will be responsible, in analysing the organisation and document its business processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology mainly with in our current ERP system. You would be expected to design business processes, working with stakeholders within the organisation to identify and define the needs and objectives of the business, and then help to create solutions to meet those needs. 📍

Location:
Houari Boumediene International Airport, Algiers Duties and

responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain servers, cloud services, networks, endpoint devices, and business applications;
• Provide frontline IT support for Horizon Travel Retail Networks and Users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues;
• Manage Microsoft 365 services, user accounts, permissions, and collaboration tools;
• Support network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, and internet connectivity;
• Monitor system performance, security, and availability, ensuring proactive resolution of issues;
• Manage backup and recovery processes to safeguard business-critical data;
• Support endpoint management, patching, software deployment, and compliance activities;
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset inventories, and technical procedures;
• Coordinate with Group IT teams, vendors, and service providers to support operational and project requirements;
• Ensure adherence to Group IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and operational procedures;
• Provide regular reporting and updates to oAshore managers and Group stakeholders;
• Reporting accurately and clearly on activities undertaken;
• Carrying out any other task which may be reasonably required in this position. Skills &

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field;
• 2-5 years' experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Operations, or a similar technical role;
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies;
• Understanding of cybersecurity, endpoint protection, and identity management principles;
• Experience supporting users, servers, networks, and business applications in a corporate environment;
• Industry certifications (Microsoft, HP Enterprise, Sophos, Cisco, etc.) are considered an asset;
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
• Experience with networking technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, wireless networks, and VPNs;
• Able to work effectively in multicultural environments and across remote teams;
• Proactive, customer-focused professional with strong organizational skills, accountability, and a collaborative approach.
