Role Description The Control System Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in El Oued, Algeria. The individual in this role will design, implement, and optimize control systems for oil and gas processes, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production facilities. Daily responsibilities include developing and reviewing control strategies, specifying and configuring instrumentation and control hardware, and supporting commissioning and start-up activities. The role involves monitoring system performance, diagnosing issues, performing root-cause analysis, and coordinating with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement improvements. The Control System Engineer will also ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, internal procedures, and safety regulations, and provide technical documentation and training support as needed. Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Process Control and Control Systems Design.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Systems Engineering.
- Candidates should possess advanced abilities in Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with industrial control systems (e.g., DCS, PLC, SCADA) in the oil and gas or heavy industry sectors.
- Understanding of safety standards, reliability engineering, and best practices in process automation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and control narratives.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is beneficial.
- Willingness to work on-site in an industrial environment and participate in field inspections and commissioning activities.
