We are actively recruiting Assistant General Managers – Kitchen Operations for multiple hospitality employers across Canada.

👨 💼 Key Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring operational excellence.
• Supervise kitchen managers, supervisors, chefs, cooks, and support staff.
• Monitor food quality, consistency, presentation, and adherence to company standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety regulations.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of kitchen employees.
• Assist in developing staff schedules and optimizing labour costs.
• Monitor food, inventory, and operating costs while minimizing waste.
• Coordinate purchasing, inventory management, and supplier relationships.
• Resolve operational challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with front-of-house management to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Assist in achieving financial targets, productivity goals, and operational KPIs.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

✅ Candidate Profile

• Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Kitchen Manager, Executive Sous Chef, or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and hospitality management.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience managing budgets, inventory, labour scheduling, and operational performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to operational excellence.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
