Role Description The AI Agent Developer — Deep Agents, LangChain role is a full-time remote position focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced AI agents and workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include building multi-step, tool-using agents using frameworks such as LangChain, integrating large language models (LLMs) with external data sources and APIs, and developing robust orchestration logic for complex tasks. The role involves collaborating with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable agent architectures, writing clean and tested code, and continuously improving performance, reliability, and safety of AI solutions. The developer will also monitor deployed agents, analyze logs and user feedback, and iterate on prompts, tools, and pipelines to enhance user experience and functionality. Documentation of architectures, decisions, and best practices, as well as participation in code reviews and technical discussions, is an integral part of the role. Qualifications
- Strong skills in software engineering and AI agent development, including experience with LangChain or similar LLM orchestration frameworks.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages commonly used for AI systems (e.g., Python), and familiarity with software design patterns, testing, and version control.
- Experience integrating LLMs with external tools, APIs, databases, and cloud services, with attention to performance, security, and reliability.
- Understanding of machine learning and generative AI concepts, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, and safety/guardrail techniques.
- Ability to design and implement end-to-end AI workflows, from data ingestion and processing to agent reasoning, error handling, and monitoring.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with a focus on building maintainable, production-ready systems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working in distributed teams and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in custom software development or cloud-based solutions is beneficial
