Mining geologist

Exploration Geologist – Algeria Project-Based Consultant | Mokhtari Geological Ventures (MGV) Mokhtari Geological Ventures (MGV) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Exploration Geologist based in Algeria to support the evaluation and advancement of mineral exploration opportunities across the country. MGV is building a portfolio of early-stage exploration projects with a focus on identifying technically compelling opportunities capable of attracting future strategic partners and investment. We are looking for a geologist who is technically strong, commercially aware, reliable and genuinely interested in contributing to the development of ambitious exploration projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret historical geological and exploration data
- Conduct geological desktop studies and target evaluation
- Research and obtain relevant documentation through ASGA
- Support regulatory and technical work involving ANAM
- Compile and interpret drilling, geochemical, geophysical and mapping data
- Identify data gaps and recommend follow-up exploration work
- Prepare clear technical reports and exploration work programs
- Support field missions and geological investigations when required
- Communicate findings and recommendations directly with MGV management Candidate Profile
- Degree in Geology, Economic Geology, Mineral Exploration or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of Algerian geology and mineral systems
- Familiarity with ASGA , its geological documentation and consultation procedures
- Familiarity with ANAM and the Algerian exploration and permitting environment
- Ability to critically evaluate historical exploration data
- Understanding of mineral exploration methods, including drilling, geochemistry and geophysics
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- French and Arabic are highly valuable
- Reliable, organized and capable of working independently
- Comfortable working to defined deadlines and deliverables
- Strong professional communication and accountability Engagement & Compensation This is an independent, project-based consulting position . There is no monthly salary or retainer . Each assignment will be agreed in advance with a defined: Scope of work → Deliverables → Milestones → Compensation Payment will be made according to completed and accepted project milestones. Successful performance may lead to larger assignments, greater technical responsibility and a long-term collaboration with MGV as the project portfolio develops.
