We are currently hiring a Concrete Labourer– Union Position Requirements Minimum 5 years concrete construction experience Experience on various concrete mix types and uses Must be familiar with tools for trade In depth knowledge of standard prep work practices Strong work ethic – reliable and punctual Must adhere to our safe work practices and procedures Heavy lifting ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to work long hours Able to work with minimal supervision Able to work in all temperatures and weather conditions Ability to be a visible team-player and have excellent interpersonal skill Responsibilities Builds, erects and set forms for various concrete structures and foundations Shovel concrete into forms and/or wall panels Prep for various types of pours including but not limited to sidewalks, curbs, stairs, walkways, loading docks, accessibility ramps, patios and driveways Assists with site prep work as necessary Performs duties of cutting and placing reinforcing wire mesh, preparing appropriate sand and cement mixtures and placing, pouring and rough levelling of concrete Smooth and finish concrete by floating, troweling, edging and brushing in accordance with specifications Builds and/or takes apart bracing, barricades, forms, scaffolding, and temporary structures We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for further consideration will be contacted.
