Role Description The English Second Language Teacher is a full-time & part-time, on-site role based at HALO ENGLISH INSTITUTE in Dély Brahim. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging English lessons for children, adolescents, adults, and professional learners at varying proficiency levels. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and materials, teaching group and individual classes, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will also adapt teaching methods for exam preparation (such as IELTS), maintain accurate records of attendance and performance, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive learning experience. Additional duties may include participating in training sessions, contributing to curriculum development, and communicating regularly with learners and, when appropriate, their families. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in English Teaching and Teaching English as a Foreign Language, with the ability to work effectively with diverse age groups and proficiency levels. Candidates should possess solid Lesson Planning and Teaching skills, including creating structured, learner-centered lessons and managing classroom dynamics. Candidates should possess familiarity with IELTS preparation and assessment strategies to support learners aiming for international exams. Relevant qualifications such as a degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field, and/or TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification are highly beneficial. Candidates should possess excellent spoken and written English, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently. Candidates should possess organizational skills, reliability, and a commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practice. Prior experience teaching English in a language institute or school setting is an advantage.
