Team members work in a technical, field-oriented setting with a focus on safety, quality, and dependable service. Role Description The Fiber Optic Splicer is a full-time, on-site role based in Médéa. The position involves preparing, splicing, and testing fiber optic cables for new installations, upgrades, and repairs. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical plans, organizing cable routes, performing precise fiber fusion splicing, and using testing equipment to verify signal quality and continuity. The role also requires documenting completed work, maintaining tools and equipment, following safety procedures, and coordinating with supervisors and other field technicians to meet project deadlines. The Fiber Optic Splicer contributes to delivering stable and high-performance network connections to customers. Qualifications Ability to work with fiber optic cables and general cabling, including installation, termination, and routing. Knowledge of electricity fundamentals and understanding of electrical safety in network and installation environments. Proficiency in using hand tools for cutting, stripping, splicing, and securing cables and related components. Experience with structured cabling systems, including organizing and labeling cable paths and panels. Previous experience in fiber optic splicing or telecommunication network installation is preferred. Ability to read technical drawings and follow installation standards and procedures. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safe work practices. Physical ability to work on-site, including standing, bending, and working at heights or in confined spaces as required. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to project sites if needed.
