- Assem Master 1, you will be responsible for executing inspection, repair, assembly, and testing activities in accordance with detailed work instructions, engineering requirements, and quality standards. You will assemble complex components based on assembly drawings and bills of material, perform functional testing, and operate test equipment in compliance with engineering specifications. You will apply settings and calibrate measurement tools, Performs torquing of various components. In addition to performing standard repair activities, you will be expected to contribute on resolution of complex technical issues and demonstrate technical expertise on rotating components of gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, and steam turbines. As Repair Technician, you will be responsible for:
• Demonstrating and promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring all activities are executed in compliance with HSE requirements.
• Performing advanced inspection, repair, assembly, and disassembly of gas turbine, centrifugal compressor, steam turbine, and valve components.
• Interpreting complex engineering drawings, specifications, repair procedures, and technical documentation.
• Participate on root cause investigations.
• Performing precision measurements and dimensional inspections.
• Executing rotor balancing activities for large rotating equipment.
• Operating and coordinating critical lifting activities using overhead cranes and lifting devices in accordance with approved procedures.
• Performing functional testing and validating test results against engineering requirements.
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of digital manufacturing records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
• Supporting technical problem solving and providing guidance to less experienced technicians.
• Contributing to continuous improvement, lean initiatives, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction projects.
• Collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Operations teams to deliver customer requirements.
• Taking ownership of product quality and ensuring compliance with all applicable procedures, standards, and customer specifications. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role, you will:
• Hold a Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in repair, assembly, and maintenance activities.
• Possess advanced knowledge of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, and Centrifugal Compressors.
• Demonstrate expertise in interpretation of engineering drawings, tolerances, specifications, and repair procedures.
• Have experience in large rotor balancing activities (1 to 30 tons or higher).
• Hold qualification/certification for critical lifting operations and rigging activities.
• Have advanced proficiency in precision measuring instruments.
• Be capable of working independently with minimal supervision while leading complex technical activities.
• Show the ability to coach, mentor, and train junior technicians.
• Have a strong understanding of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and safety regulations.
• Possess good communication and teamwork skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Be proficient in the use of digital manufacturing systems and electronic work instruction platforms.
