Responsibilities
Manage an operating water desalination plant with a capacity of 200,000 m³/day.
Responsible for the P&L, ensuring optimization of plant availability, water production, revenues, dividends, and cash flow generation.
Represent the company in front of Algerian public institutions and foreign private shareholders, maintaining strong relationships with banks, clients, suppliers, operators, and buyers.
Act as the main liaison between investors, off-takers, and Algerian authorities, including ADE, Sonatrach, and AEC.
Identify and capture improvement opportunities and cost savings with the support of corporate functions.
Oversee compliance with concession agreements, financial covenants, and regulatory requirements.
Supervise administrative and financial processes, and ongoing performance monitoring.
Ensure alignment of local operations with Atlantica's corporate policies and international standards.
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration.
Personal Skills
Proven leadership capabilities in managing concessionary companies and acting as shareholder representative.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trustful relationships with government institutions, banks, and private investors.
Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and capacity to work under pressure in a complex regulatory and multicultural environment.
Proactive and autonomous, with a focus on delivering results and maximizing long-term value.
Fluent in French and English; knowledge of Arabic and/or Spanish are a plus.Willingness to travel frequently within Algeria and abroad.
Experience & Technical Qualifications
Around 10 years of experience in the water infrastructure sector, ideally within concession models or regulated environments.
Hands-on experience in asset management of large-scale infrastructure, with emphasis on optimization of production and availability.
In-depth knowledge of Algerian administrative and regulatory frameworks in the water and energy sector.
