- Design and monitor the conduct and execution of mining work.
- Carry out studies to develop methods of drivage and mine extraction.
- Conduct technical analyses to obtain soil and other information and prepare reports.
- Carry out preliminary studies on the ore and the mining depots in order to propose the most appropriate method for the excavation of galleries and tunnels.
- To determine the safe and efficient methods of excavation.
- To determine and advise on appropriate blasting methods for mining, construction or demolition.
- Plan and select mining machinery in collaboration with other mining specialists.
