Job Purpose
The Plant Director is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet the volume requirements set by the commercial teams, in alignment with the agreed sales forecast. This role ensures that the product supply flow is consistently on target in terms of time, cost, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in product supply, processes, and practices, in line with international best practices.
- Enhance business processes to drive cost reduction and improve productivity.
- Safeguard company assets by developing effective tracking tools for machinery, tools, and other resources.
- Design and implement product supply processes to achieve target reliability.
- Ensure timely delivery of S&OP volumes with high quality and cost efficiency.
- Define and control the operating cost budget, and establish clear spending guidelines.
- Adhere to the highest industry quality standards, ensuring only compliant products are released.
Project Management
- Lead and guide the project management team in planning, organizing, executing, and controlling various projects.
- Ensure projects are completed within agreed parameters—budget, timelines, scope, and quality—while meeting organizational standards and objectives.
Capacity Management
- Design and regularly update an efficient monthly capacity utilization map.
- Lead synchronization initiatives to maximize output and minimize downtime and changeovers.
- Closely monitor manufacturing overheads to ensure operational efficiency.
Budgets & Planning
- Develop and recommend annual budgets.
- Monitor financial performance to ensure alignment with expected costs and revenues.
- Identify and address areas of underperformance promptly.
Job Requirements
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science - Experience:
15–20 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing, including at least 2 years as a Plant Director - Language:
Strong command of English - Location:
Oran, Algeria
