Perform vulcanization and tire repair works on heavy mobile equipment (RS, MHC, RTG, ITV, TR), as well as light vehicles and machinery.
Carry out tire mounting and dismounting on rims in compliance with established procedures and safety standards, using a certified torque wrench to ensure the proper tightening torque.
Regularly inspect tire wear conditions and immediately report any detected anomalies that may pose a safety risk or lead to accidents.
Repair punctures, sidewalls, inner tubes, and tread damages as required.
Conduct periodic tire pressure checks on all equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer recommendations to prevent premature wear.
Perform detailed diagnostics on tire conditions (bulges, cracks, abnormal wear, structural defects).
Prepare and inspect rims prior to assembly, including cleaning, corrosion and crack detection, bead seat inspection, and replacement of seals and valves.
Maintain regular monitoring and tracking of tire conditions, updating the maintenance log with real-time information on all performed interventions.
Apply and strictly adhere to all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards during every operation.
Perform field interventions on operational equipment in case of punctures or tire incidents, while ensuring proper isolation procedures are followed.
Propose technical and practical improvements to optimize safety, quality, and productivity of maintenance operations.
Strong knowledge of tire technical specifications (manufacture date, ply rating, load index, operating temperature, etc.) and the different types of tires used in port operations.
In-depth knowledge of tire repair techniques for port equipment (cuts, tears, punctures, retreading, and abnormal wear).
Ability to perform tire rotation to prevent deformation and uneven wear.
Proficiency in handling vulcanization tools and machines (impact wrench, torque wrench, large-size tire changer).
Ability to quickly and accurately diagnose tire condition.
Precision and rigor in task execution.
Strict adherence to HSE guidelines and best safety practices.
Good physical condition (frequent handling of heavy tires required).
Strong sense of organization and cleanliness in the workspace.
Team spirit and effective communication with colleagues and supervisors.
Reactivity and availability for emergency interventions.
Ability to work autonomously in planning and performing assigned duties.
