Position: Assistant Livelihood and Economic Inclusion Officer
UNHCR is looking for an Assistant Livelihood and Economic Inclusion Officer to support the alignment of livelihoods and economic inclusion efforts with the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR). The role involves advocating for refugee self-reliance, building partnerships with various stakeholders, and enhancing livelihoods and economic inclusion programs.
Responsibilities:- Explore partnerships to facilitate economic inclusion of refugees
- Assess legal frameworks for the right to work for refugees
- Coordinate with stakeholders to support socioeconomic surveys and development programs
- Identify investment opportunities to enhance economic inclusion
- Provide technical assistance on market-based livelihood interventions
- Manage risks and seek opportunities in the area of responsibility
- Perform any other related duties as required
- Relevant Degree (Undergraduate, Graduate, or Doctorate)
- Experience in facilitating economic inclusion of vulnerable groups
- Knowledge of livelihoods sector developments
- Proficiency in English (additional languages desirable)
- Strategic planning and advocacy
- Project management
- Networking and documentation
